Throughout their long career, JK, owner of AAA Entertainment and his team have been the driving force behind countless unforgettable nights. Their ability to seamlessly blend genres and create an electrifying atmosphere is amazing. Behind the decks, isn't just a performer; but a storyteller, a mood-setter, and a conduit between the music and the souls it touches. They have an uncanny knack for reading the crowd, a talent that turns gatherings into experiences and transforms dance floors into memorable celebrations.
Today, we're privileged to gain insights into the life and artistry of JK and his passion to turn up the volume at your next event.
Q: Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background in DJing?
A: Personally, I have performed at more than 5,500 events and have overseen more than 20,000 events as the GM of AAA Entertainment. I have radio and television experience and love playing music for my clients.
Q: How would you describe your style and approach?
A: Professional and fun. There is a delicate balance between the two styles and I love the challenge.
Q: How do you prepare yourself for a wedding assignment?
A: I get to know the bride as well as possible so I understand her needs then make it happen for her.
Q: How do you stay updated with the latest trends, music, techniques and dances?
A: Research, constantly. Online and with the help of my DJ staff. My public nightclub events are also a big help in figuring out new music and dance trends.
Q: In challenging situations, conditions or environments, how do you ensure you still bring the vibe to the event?
A: I keep my cool and stay focused on the desired end result which is a bride and groom and their guests who have danced their butts off and that is what keeps the clients happy!
Q: What advice would you give to a bride looking for a DJ?
A: Ask lots of questions and check out all of their online content, especially reviews. Better yet, attend one of their public performances and see what they can bring to the table for them. Ask friends if they can provide feedback.
Q: As a DJ what is some of the most important information for a bride to share with you?
A: Her wedding day vision. It’s our job to help her get it. And we are good at our job!
